Jay Chou returns to solidify his status as king of Mando-pop. Even though he is facing enormous pressure because of his role in the new Zhang Yi Mou blockbuster Curse of the Golden Flower, co-starring Gong Li and Chow Yun Fat, Jay has not forgotten his music fans. Known for his own unique style that skillfully incorporates R&B and hip-hop as well as other music genres to weave a melodious sound carpet, Jay has always been very fond of experimenting. His latest album titled Still Fantasy is no exception to the rule.

Ok, I just listened to the whole album twice already and here's my review. I definitely like this better than his November's Chopin cd. His style, musical arrangements are always refreshing and unique but I feel it's starting to be a bit repetitive. Although his albums are better than many others out there, but for Jay's standards, there wasn't a song that I could say was amazing on this album. Yet I'm still impress with his uniqueness and rapping skills and his ever-difficult linguistically challenging long lyrics. The songs I like the most are Track 01 (Twilight's Chapter Seven), Track 02 (Listen to Mama's Words), and Track 03 (Faraway). I give this 4 stars because it's good by all means but not one of Jay's best.
