Chinese pop diva Faye Wong denies rumors she's pregnant
Chinese pop diva Faye Wong has denied rumors that she's
pregnant, a Hong Kong newspaper reported Thursday.
"I'm not pregnant. Those rumors are really wacky.
They're all made up," Wong told friends recently, the
Ming Pao Daily News reported.
Wong made the remark after her friends expressed concern
about her jumping around at a recent gathering, the
report said.
Wong already has a daughter with Chinese rock star Dou
Wei. She is now reportedly dating Chinese actor Li
Yapeng.
Wong made her name in mainstream Chinese pop _ known for
its sappy ballads _ but eventually branched out to more
alternative fare.
Among her works is a Chinese cover of Tori Amos' "Silent
All These Years." Wong's record label, Sony BMG, did not
immediately return a reporter's call seeking comment on
the pregnancy rumors

Beijing - June 15th 2005 - Chinese Pop
Diva Faye Wong rumored to be pregnant. That would
explain her sudden retirement.
Finally
there comes a reasonable explanation for Asian pop diva
Faye Wong's sudden retirement.
The singer
is said to be expecting her second child, according to
the Shenyang-based newspaper Shenyang Today.
The
pregnancy had been confirmed by doctors and Wong would
like to keep the baby, the paper quoted a Beijing-based
artist in the music industry as saying.
It was
also revealed that Wong and her actor boyfriend Li
Yapeng registered to get married in March.
Neither
Wong or Li could be reached for comment. Li's agent, his
brother Li Yawei, also refused to answer reporters'
inquiries.
According
to the paper, Wong went to the same hospital in Beijing
where her close friend, singer Na Ying, gave birth to a
boy last year.
The singer announced her temporary retirement from show
biz last month
