Eason Chan, Edison Chen, and Eric Kwok performed
together for "California Red 903 - Dut
凸
Concert"
Many stars were in attendance, while the three men
performed each others' songs. Edison who is better known as a
hip hop artist,
sang classics such as the late
Leslie Cheung's 倩女幽魂 and Andy Lau's 再吻我吧 and awed the
crowd. Edison let out a smile, after realizing the crowd
was applauding his singing. At
the end of the concert, veteran singers Eason and Eric performed Edison's 香港地, where
they also awed the crowd during the rap portion of the
song. Because of the crowd's great reaction and
being in the heat of
the moment, Eason and Eric free-styled a little canto
rap and received
full applause from the audience.
Maybe due to not having enough time to rehearse, Edison
kept forgetting his lyrics. While the three men were
performing 最佳損友, because Edison forgot the lyrics he
couldn't continue. Eason and Eric continued on and they
gave Edison a pat on the back as a form of encouragement,
and because of that Edison couldn't conceal his guilt.
Edison is the king of rumors and having many rumors in
the past he was not let off the hook during this
concert. When Edison performed 幸運的我, Eason (who was the
background singer) sang the line "girlfriend" and added
"you had many." During the line, "When I meet a girl and
want to have a relationship with her, she will come up
with problems about me" and Eason added, "Wah, you seem
like you have problems."
Music director Jerald Chan performed with former Swing
member Eric, during their performance of 開始到最後 [From
Beginning to End (Start to Finish)] Jerald recalled
memories from their Swing days and emotionally teared.
Edison explained his reason for forgetting lyrics was
because he hasn't heard many of the songs performed.
Eason also explained that the background lyrics to 幸運的我
are the actual lyrics.
Note:
凸 is pronounced "dut"
and means sticking out in Cantonese. Limited Edition
