Xu Wei Lun's Farewell - Like a Romantic Wedding

The death of Taiwan actress Xu Wei Lun was saddening and shocking as she died of a fatal car accident. Her funeral was held on Feb 8th 2007. One of her biggest wish was to get married by 30 years old. Thus, her family helped her fulfill that wish. Wei Lun’s funeral was decorated with white candles & thousands of white roses -- like a romantic wedding.

In the front of the mourning hall, there were five beautiful pictures of Wei Lun. By looking at her bright smiling face, there were a few mourners who didn't feel sorrow when they entered. Wei Lun’s mother puts her head down and cried when she saw her daughter’s picture. Wei Lun’s boyfriend Xiao Pai also cried.

Xu Wei Lun passed away at 28 years of age, date of death being January 28th. Coincidentally, the 128th page of “Dan Dan Diary” is also the page she talks about her thoughts on life and death, making 28 a ‘magic number’. After her accident, they realize that her magazine in her car opened to page 128, and the page was about Death Note. One of the character in the movie Death Note died in January 28th also.

The atmosphere was filled with sorry and regret. Xu Wei Lun, before she died, always wanted to look pretty; Xu family specially ordered a pink coffin and ash container. The night before, Xiao Pai and Wei Lun's little brother Xu Zi Wei went to Tze En Garden nearby to burn paper money. Hoping that in heaven, she can go riding in cars with the wind, the family burned a Benz car for her. The whole family in a circle chanted "Wei Lun, come get money". Her farewell ceremony was in a white-haired-people don't send black-haired-people off type, so only the later generations and Xu Zi Wei represented the family to receive thanks.

Wei Lun's entertainment friends Joe Cheng, Mike He, Ariel Lin, Rainie Yang, Cyndi Wang etc. all went to Tze En Garden, walking with their "angel" to send her off. Even though Wei Lun and boyfriend Xiao Pai were only going out for a short half a year, but he got to stand with the younger generations of the family, accepting thanks, something Mr and Mrs Xu couldn't do. Wei Lun's body took about two hours to burn, and even though her body is gone, she will still be in everyone's memory.

Rest in Peace, Wei Lun. You will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
