On November 28th, 39 year-old Hacken Lee and 33 year-old Emily Lo Suk Yee held their wedding at the
Hong Kong Intercontinental Hotel, with a 46 table banquet [approximately 460 guests invited]. The bride and groom had dated for 14 years.
The wedding banquet hall was decorated to resemble an old English castle garden. The main reception area and grand staircase were filled with white roses and lilies. There was also a rose and lily decorated canopy on site. Nearly 100 reporters were present. Banquet guests brought their “treasure box” invitations with them.
Andy Lau was the Best Man, with Joey Leung Wing Chung, Lau Wai Hang, TVB producer Chin Kwok Wai, etc. as the groomsmen. The Maid of Honor was Emily’s younger sister and the bridesmaids included Ada Choi, Margaret Chung Lai Kei, and Stephanie Che Yuen Yuen.
Hacken wanted to keep the wedding a private affair, yet he wanted everyone to share his happiness. He prepared a press release outlining the key agenda at the wedding banquet, as well as the couple’s feelings on their wedding day. The program schedule indicated that there was no Wynners concert at he wedding and no grand prizes to be given away. Hacken did not buy a new house for his father-in-law and he does not plan to have children in the short term. The menu did not include caviar and foie gras, as earlier rumors indicated.
This wedding was to celebrate Emily and Hacken entering a new stage in life together.
When the wedding banquet started, Hacken’s song, "You Are My Sun" was broadcast. This was a song that Hacken had written for Emily when he pursued her. A slideshow compilation of their trip in Britain was played, allowing their friends and family to share their happiness.
After the wedding, Hacken and Emily do not intend to take their honeymoon immediately. Hacken will return to promoting his album, with the title song, 《公主太子》. Since Hacken announced his marriage intentions, the media has waited 1 year for the wedding to take place.
Hacken described his emotions on his wedding day as “very happy!” Hacken also thanked Chan Kwok Keung for his generous gift, paying for Emily and Hacken’s complete wedding photo shoot in Britain.
